Red, White and Bluegrass

Hello!  We just returned from a fun trip in Kentucky visiting Matt's side of the family and I thought I would share some pictures from our long weekend (5 days!).  We had such a great time visiting with everyone and carting Asher Wade around to meet friends and family.  He just ate up all the attention and was such a little social bug.  We've been going through some stranger anxiety, so I was thrilled that (for the most part) he was super friendly.  Those toddlers...you just never know how they are going to be on a day to day basis;)  Anyways, I'll let the pictures do the talking...

We had a (very short) boat ride our first morning. After realizing that the life jacket was too big, we had to head back.

Baby on a boat!

AW enjoyed playing with the Lucas kids

Baby in a bucket...one of his favorite toys of the trip
Lots of fun playing outside.  The weather was fabulous!

Potluck at Aunt Jennifer and Uncle Patrick's house

Not often we get a picture of all 3 of us

My people:-)

I could just eat him up

Guarding the wine;)

Sweet cousins...Jake, AW and Will

Just some outtakes of the many attempts

More fun playing outside with the big boys.  Growing up so fast...

AW was absolutely enamored with Will.  Se sweet!

We were invited to the pool by some family friends and had a great time swimming and playing (and stuffing our faces).

Since they couldn't be at his 1st birthday party back in April, we had a little belated celebration with an ice cream cake.

Visiting with Paw Paw

Poor guy had quite the diaper rash while we were there, so we had lots of naked time on the porch.

Stretching our legs at a gas station on our way home.
Hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July!  Thankful to live in the land of the free and the home of the brave!!
