All of a sudden this weekend I got all misty eyed and giddy thinking about Christmas. It's July. Considering the aforementioned heat wave I'm not entirely sure why Christmas would be on my brain at all, but it is, and I am now counting down the days till I can bust out the decorations.
We did super cycle again this Saturday a.m. That makes 2 Saturday mornings in a row where we have kicked booty in a 75 minute spin class. And this time we did not gorge on bagels, croissants and coffee at Crestline Bagel afterwards. We deserve medals. Or at least a croissant...
One good movie was watched this weekend, and one not so good movie. Fair Game was the former. This is the true story about Valerie Plame, who was an agent with the CIA until being outed by the White House and subsequently losing her job. I give this 4 out of 5. The not so good movie was Cedar Rapids. It had some funny parts, but I could have done without it...2 out of 5.
Matt has this new found affinity towards cooking. I love this! If you know our household at all, you would know that I am generally in charge of the cooking, but Matt has really been stepping up his game. Saturday evening I walked in and he was making these stuffed jalapeno things and then last night I walked in and he was making mushrooms and those jalapenos again. Not only is it very helpful to have him contributing to the meal making process, but it's fun cooking together:)
Hard at work seeding the jalapenos |
Those are my meatless ones at the top...these are really good! |
This pic cracks me up because you can really see how small she is compared to Riley |
