Doc went back to the GBHS today. Now that his treatment is complete and he has a clean bill of health, he is adoptable. It was really hard telling him bye and I worry about him finding a home:( It's hard because we become very attached to our fosters, but obviously it's not practical or even possible for us to keep them all (as much as I wish we could). We definitely want to be able to continue to foster so we have to stay strong about providing a temporary home until their forever home comes around. I put together a little poster to go on Doc's kennel at GBHS so hopefully when potential adopters stop by his kennel, they will read this and take a second look at him. Or if any of you readers have been thinking about adopting a new fur baby, or know someone who is looking, please contact me because this guy would be a wonderful addition to any family:) We will deliver too!
Hi, I’m “Doc.” My favorite things to do are snuggle on the couch with a soft blanket, chew on my bones and eat! I LOVE to eat!! As soon as I hear that bag of food rustling, I run into the kitchen and wait patiently because I know as soon as I am sitting like a good boy, my food dish will appear. Sometimes I do my “happy dance” and twirl around because I just get so excited. It’s a good thing I have so much energy and love to run and play and burn off those calories because otherwise I may be on Weight Watchers. I had two “fur brothers” when I lived with my foster parents and I loved to wrestle with them and watch Animal Planet. It was pretty fun when we would ALL go out for walks…the neighbors always laughed when they saw all of us coming down the street. I am very smart, super lovable and have a very sweet disposition. My foster parents taught me how to sit, lay down and shake and I always know to stand by the back door when I have to potty! After having a rough start to my life, I am just so thankful to have a warm bed, food and water. Now if I could just find my forever home, I think I would be the luckiest dog in the world!
Please feel free to call my foster parents (Matt and Leanne) and they can answer any of your questions and provide you with any info about me to help you see if I would be a good match.
