Celebrating the Gift...

And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with fear. And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of a great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.” And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!” “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!” Luke 2:9-14


It's so easy to get caught up in all the hustle and bustle, excitement and anticipation, and sometimes the pressure and stress of the holiday season. I love to just be able to take the time to think about what Christmas means and the amazing gift that we received thousands of years ago that continues still today. It truly was and is the only gift that keeps giving. I pray that all of you feel the peace and joy of this special time and the unending love and faithfulness of our Lord.

I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:17-19
