The post I've been DYING to write

Oh y'all, I've been dying to post this.  For like 8 weeks now I've been keeping a BIG secret and now I'm ready let it out....

Yes!  We're expecting!!  (It still kind of freaks me out to say that by the way...).  Baby Mac should be making an appearance around April 29th.   

We are so excited!!  This happened very fast.  Like, one cycle of "trying" fast.  It's funny because we had planned on starting to try (or more like stop trying to prevent, ha!) after the bar exam.  For whatever reason though, we had it in our heads that it would take 6 or so months.  Umm, nope!  Bar exam ended on 7/25, and I took a pregnancy test 8/19 (the night I got home from my trip to Savannah).  Big fat positive!  Matt wasn't home, so I wrapped the sticks up (I ended up taking like 5) and told Matt I had brought him back a little something from Savannah.  He was shocked to say the least when he opened up his "gift."  I really don't think he even believed me until he physically watched me pee on another stick.

The whole thing is so surreal, but of course we are over the moon and just feel so blessed.    

I had been keeping a little blog journal (complete with pictures) for the past several weeks, saving them all in draft form since it obviously wasn't public knowledge yet.  I just posted them, so if you would like, you can catch up here and here and here, and the most recent 12 week update here!  I'll continue to post bi-weekly updates since we have family and friends all over the place.  Plus, I know I'll enjoy being able to go back and read them later on.

So cheers (with sparkling apple cider) to major life changes.  Should be exciting!
