New Books

So I finished my last selection of books. Fly Away Home was good, not one of my favorite Jennifer Weiner books, but still very good. To Kill a Mockingbird was of course excellent, no shocker there. The Help was wonderful...probably going in my top 3 favorite books. Now for my new stash that I picked up this past weekend...

The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls...this is a memoir and it has some great reviews. I am about a quarter of the way into it and am already completely immersed in the story.


Dominion...this was written by G.W. Bush's senior speechwriter and special assistant (Matthew Scully) and is about animal welfare from a biblical perspective. Right up my alley.


Animal Sanctuary...this is by Gene Baur, a leading animal rights activist and founder of the Farm Sanctuary in NY. This is definitely on my list of places I want to visit. You can check out the sanctuary here.


A friend also loaned me Same Kind of Different as Me after giving it rave reviews. I plan to start this one as soon as I am done with Glass Castle.
