It's the weekend friends! This lady is happy happy happy!! I am ready for some rest and relaxation. It's funny because we started the week off talking about all these things we were going to do during the upcoming weekend, and it seems as though they keep getting knocked off one by one because we just don't want to commit. Do you ever do that? Of course it's fun to have things planned, but it's also fun to just rest. Neither of us are feeling all that great either, so it's probably for the better. Maybe we'll rent some favorite Halloween movies and gorge ourselves with candy :) Any suggestions (movies or candy that is)??
Here are my 5 favorite Halloween movies...
1. Hocus Pocus. I could watch this over and over. Sarah Jessica Parker cracks me up. Can you believe this movie is almost 20 years old?! Good gosh I feel old...
2. Scream. Just try and tell me you didn't about pee your pants during this movie. I feel like this was the first of the scary, yet funny, teeny-bopper movies. Pretty sure I was on a middle school "date" when I saw this.
3. It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown. Just a great classic. They just don't make them like they used to.
4. Nightmare Before Christmas. This was released the same year as Hocus Pocus...that was a good year for Halloween movies! Tim Burton is a genius. I love the ghost dog in this movie, but could do without "The Sand Man." How scary is he?!
5. Halloween. Do I really need to explain this one?
Oh, and you want to know my 5 favorite candies too?? Let me indulge you...
1. Skittles. But just the purples and reds. I especially love to eat one purple and one red together.
2. Swedish Fish. But not German fish, or Russian fish.
3. Candy corn and pumpkins. More pumpkins than corn though please.
4. Smarties. I really like the giant ones you can get from Cracker Barrel.
5. 3 Musketeers. Mainly because they are the lowest in fat of most chocolate candy.
