Yes that has been my kitchen table. Fold it out when I need it, fold it up when I don't. Ghetto fabulous at its finest. We should also note that this is the table Matt uses when he is grilling outside. It is very functional, but not the classiest thing.

Anyways, I finally made my purchase. The problem was that I kept going back and forth between the pricey Pottery Barn "Shayne" table and the less pricier Pier One "Carmichael." Pier One won out. I just couldn't justify spending double on the PB one. I'm really happy with my selection. I love the worn in look and seeing as how we have been "discussing" re-doing the colors in the kitchen, this seems like a pretty good incentive to get on that.

We bought this rug from PB a few years ago, but it has been sitting in the garage because we had no place to put it in the house. Love it when something old becomes "new" again! It's amazing what a rug can do for a room. I almost think that is the #1 quickest way to totally change the look of a room. That and paint, which will be next up.
