Just a lot of randomness...

Sorry about the lack of blogging this week. I am in the midst of finals and they kind of suck the life out of me. One final down, two to go. My brain is moosh. Matt is trying to keep me sane, although I may or may not have sequestered him to the guest room last night out of sheer need to get a good night's sleep and hopefully get over my lingering sore throat before it becomes a full blown cold. Bless him.

Anyways, we haven't done much this week because of said studying/sore throat/lack of sleep. Oh, we did make our annual Christmas cookies the other day. I make them from scratch and it is somewhat time consuming so I usually mix and bake them one day and then we decorate them the next day. This works except when a certain naughty doggy hauls the entire container of just baked cookies off the counter and eats them ALL. Fifty homemade sugar cookies, three hours of work, down the drain and in Riley's belly. He knew he was bad and hid under the dining room table the whole evening. Did he learn his lesson? No. The next day it was an unsuspecting loaf of bread. I won't even go into the resulting diarrhea fest we now have on our hands.

And I shall leave you with this. AOL Health posted this article the other day and it made me laugh (and nod my head in agreement)...
The top four lies women tell:
1. "I'm fine. There's nothing wrong." (GUILTY)
2. "Oh, this isn't new! I've had this old thing forever." (SO GUILTY)
3. "Oh, this was cheap! I got it on sale." (This is usually the truth...I'm a total bargain shopper)
4. "I've got a headache." (GUILTY)
The top four lies men tell:
1. "I'm fine. There's nothing wrong." (I didn't know guys used this line too?)
2. "This is my last drink." (Thankfully I don't have this problem with Matt)
3. "No, that doesn't make you look fat." (Haha, Matt would actually tell me if it did)
4. "Hey, I'm on the way!" But he's not even almost on the way. (Really don't know about this one)

I'm totally guilty of those too! I hope you did well on finals! Merry Christmas!
