True Blood...I read the book series by Charlaine Harris (Sookie Stackhouse novels) that the show is based off of. I'm almost hesitant to recommend this show (and the books) because they are definitely out there and a little on the racy side, but if you like some of the shows on HBO, then you just may like this one. The books and show take place in Louisiana and the characters crack me up. We are finishing up Season 2 on-demand before the new season starts on Sunday. My total guilty pleasure...
Kelly...I am really attached to this dog. I tried hard not to be, but she's just so darn sweet. It's pretty much love. We absolutely cannot keep every single dog we foster, but I'm hoping my parents just may decide they want a new addition so I can still see her:)
This smoothie recipe...don't let the tofu scare you off. It makes the smoothie really creamy and adds a decent amount of protein. You can vary the fruits according to what you like, but I think strawberries,bananas and mangoes work best. If you use frozen fruit, you don't need to add ice, but if you use non-frozen fruit, add a handful of crushed ice.
Leanne's Tofu Smoothie
6-7 frozen strawberries (or fruit of your choice)
1/2 cup silken tofu
6 oz. container vanilla (or strawberry) Greek yogurt
1/2 cup soy milk
1 packet Stevia
1 Tb. flax seed
Place all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth.
Had a REALLY long and crazy week at work and am very much looking forward to a nice, relaxing weekend with absolutely nothing on the agenda. We watched Shutter Island tonight...not as scary as I was thinking it was going to be. Definitely more of a psychological thriller with a great twist at the end. Planning a nice date night tonight...Matt gets to pick the restaurant, so no telling where we will end up. Hope everyone has a great weekend!
